Tory burch sale picks

Tory burch is having a friends and family sale, 25% off your total purchase. I have loved tory burch for a very long time, the pieces are classic and timeless. They are luxury items but worth the investment to a wardrobe.
I prefer the pebbled Italian leather, gold hardware and convertible versatile items, these are my favorites right now.

I also love the new tory burch fragrance and want to try one of the lipsticks but beauty items are excluded from the sale. Use code "friendly" at checkout for the discount!
Hope everyone is having a great weekend, thanks for reading!

Three beautifying supplements you should be taking

In addition to eating a healthy diet and drinking lots of water, there are a few dietary supplements you could add to your routine to get the best out of your hair skin and nails. You should always consult your doctor and do research before taking any supplements. These are the ones I have been taking for about six months or so.

First off is the most well known for help women beautify for the inside out. That would be biotin. I've seen this in capsule form, chews and even added to beverages targeted toward women. Taken regularly you might see a slight improvement in hair and nail growth and strength. Also if you eat lots of dark leafy greens like kale, spinach, collards and bok Choy it will have a similar result.

Next is any type of fish oil. Fatty fish oils help with shiny healthy hair and glowing skin. I chose cod liver oil in capsule form though it does come in a liquid form that I just could stand the taste of. Cod liver oil has been sourced to help with some health issues I suffer from as well but there is also the regular omega 3 and 6 fish oils to choose from. In addition to fish oil you should eat foods high in good fat like salmon, avocado, nuts, seeds, olive, coconut and grapeseed oil.

Lastly is evening primrose oil. Do you ever get those breakouts under the skin usually on the chin area? Or breakouts around that time of the month? Taking evening primrose oil daily can help level out your hormones and hormonal breakouts. I actually take two daily the week before to really keep my hormones level. It really has helped me with other pms symptoms too. In addition to the supplement try to avoid dairy and meat that isn't organic because the animals can be pumped up with hormones which can through off your hormonal balance, effecting your moods and yes, give you breakouts.

Jergens bb body perfecting skin cream review

"It's finally here" the commercial states. BB cream for your body!
Wait...we're we all waiting for it?! I know I'm a little over the whole BB and CC cream fad.
I've bought and actually repurchased one BB cream before. The smashbox BB cream I had among countless others are really just glorified tinted moisturizers. BB generally stands for beauty balm or blemish balm, originally from Korea, they burst into the US beauty industry a couple years ago. They claim to even skin, be infused with skin benefiting vitamins and basically be a miracle.
And now there's a bb cream for the body, and I was skeptical. The jergens cream claims to show "five visible benefits in five days".
1. Hydrate and smooth
2. brighten and illuminate
3. Even skin tone
4. Visibly firm
5. Minimize the appearance of imperfections

To give it a fair chance I used this everyday all over my body for double the length of time it claims to see viable results before reviewing.

It absolutely hydrates being a cream, it does wear off through out the day like other moisturizers.
It is a light pink color that fades into the skin, it also appears to have very fine milled shimmer. So those two factors do illuminate the skin and make the skin appear glowing. Even though this bottle says for medium skin tones I tried it on a friend with fair skin and it blended great.
However I do not think it visibly firmed the skin or really covered up an skin imperfections.
If you want to firm your skin lift weights lol. And if you really want some coverage I would suggest Sally Hansen airbrush legs or Mac face and body foundation.
It has a nice light pretty smell to it too reminds me of a mix of flowers and tanning oil.

This isn't the end all be all perfect skin cream but It does temporarily make the skin look brighter and glowing.
I'm not going to return it because I like the look of it on my arms and shoulders but I won't be repurchasing it.

DIY canvas wall art

As I mentioned before me and my boyfriend bought a house in October, after 6 months of renos we finally moved in. It's still a work in progress but I'm pretty proud of how far it's come. Decorating has to be my favorite part of the process so far! I love looking for inexpensive items that give our home a look of quality and coziness. Our bedroom is all grey and white and needed something a little extra. I'm still planning on getting bold grey stripped curtains from west elm and a bold rug as well but I haven't found the perfect one. In the meantime I decided to spruce up the space with a little color and print. Now let me warn you I'm not crafty or skilled in arts. I come from an incredibly artistic family and I can doodle a mean stick figure but that's as far as my talents go.

I went to my local michaels and perused the isles for inspiration. I knew what color pallet I wanted to work with, greys, purples and greens.
I ended up leaving the store with a stack of canvas, arcrylic paint, brushes, scrap book paper, paper spray glue, and silver letters. With the awesome deals at micheals it only cost me just under $30!

First I painted the canvas in a striped pattern with a bold purple bottom, a chevron inspired print and a colorful long brush stroke one.

As that dried I drew a quartfoil and cut it out on cardboard. I started tracing it on the back of the scrapbook paper and quickly realized it looked like crap haha. So I tried tracing a solo cup and cut of the circles. I did a even spray of the adhesive on the backs and gave a few seconds to become tacky. Next I placed them evenly on the canvas and let completely dry.
I'm really into the gold and silver foil prints all over etsy. I'm my attempt to do something similar I finished the painted peices with silver stickers. I wanted to do "love" and "gratitude" but the lack didn't have enough letters so I went with "grateful". I dicided not to use the other painting because I I wanted to use the circle canvas for the center peice.

They are not hung up yet but I think they turned out pretty cute! I'm sure a similar prints from etsy would have cost about $20 each so it's a good cheap way to add a personal touch to your living space.

As always thanks for reading! Xoxo brianna
Oh yes and I will be sharing before and after photos of our home soon. There should be more diys and decor posts coming your way as well : )
