My natural summer bronze makeup look

This has been my go to makeup look so far this summer, if I put on make up at all that day.
First I apply two pumps of my tarte foundation in the color deep with a brush to my face and neck. It has a light SPF which I like because I'm in the sun a ton.
I use Nars radient concealer in the color biscuit under my eyes and blend with my fingertip.
Using a tapered brush I apply my Victoria's Secret bronzer where the sun would hit my face, in the hairline, cheekbones and nose. Then I lightly blend my hourglass blush in luminous flush on the tops of my cheeks.
For eyes I start by using my maybelline color tattoo in the color fierce and tangy, a matte orange to my entire lid using my finger.
Using my sonia kashuk eye on neural matte pallet (BOO the black color broke)
I used the darkest brown color and apply that to my crease in a windshield wiper motion.
Using a fluffy blending brush I apply the reddish brown color and blend in the crease and a little above the crease, buffing out that dark brown shade.
Next I take loreal single shadow in Kings random a rosy golden color and pat in color from the lash line to the crease, taking it into the inner eye as well.
Then taking the lights white shadow in the pallet I apply this to the brow bone
Using an flat angled brush I mix the dark brown shade and the black and apply this to the top and bottom lash line making sure to blend blend blend this out.
I use my eyebrow powder pencil I got at sallys beauty supply to fill in my brows, and use a coat of my maybelline falsies waterproof to my top and bottom lashes.
The last step in to spritz my skin all over with urban decay's all nighter setting spray. This bottle is so old, they since changed the packaging.
In the car I put on the NYX butter gloss in tarimusu a natural nude color and that topped off the look.
And Voila! Natural, bronze summer makeup!

How I clean my makeup brushes

You need to be cleaning your makeup brushes! At least once a month but once a week is better. If you put dirty brushes on your face you're much more likely to breakout. Clean brushes will pick up colors better and blend them out on your skin much smoother.
I don't own a brush set. I have a mish mash of elf, Sonia kashuk, sephora, bare minerals and real techniques brushes. I eventually want to invest in a sigma brush kit but for now mine do the job, mostly because I take care of them.

First I wet the brush careful not to get the handle. I put some purity made simple(I also own sephora brush sampoo but you can use baby shampoo too) in my palm and swirl it around. then I rinse the brush and squeeze the excess water off the brissels.

Then I gently rub the brush on a paper towel with rubbing alcohol on it to remove any remaining makeup and sterilize it. This also makes them dry faster.
Lastly I lay the brush out to dry on a face cloth, usually takes overnight to dry.
And viola! Clean brushes!
For a quick clean in between the deeper washes I wipe the brushes on a paper towel with a spritz the of sephora daily brush cleaner. This takes the surface makeup off so different colors and shades don't blend together during use.

A couple weeks ago I picked up a couple NYX butter glosses and I'm in love with them!
I originally got terimisu, a warm pinky nude and then went back for more.
On clearance I got orange called cherry cheese cake and sugar cookie, a bright pink. Now from the outside the bright or dark shades seem scary but these go on more sheer. They have a beautiful creamy milky color, with no shimmer it glitter which I like. The butter glosses feel like a lip treatment but look pretty natural. Obsessed.

I also got my hair cut to a long angled bob. After years of trying to grow my hair to my waist it just won't grow any longer than a few inches past my shoulders. So I got 5 inches off and said F it.

Here's how it looks when I use a curling wand. My shorter hair is perfect for the summer months!
I also did this keratin treatment I got from Walmart.com. Save your money, not great. It didn't damage my hair too much,  but it didn't do to much of anything...oh well.

Stella and Dot Spring/Summer 2014 look book

Soooo I have exciting news!
I'm having a stella and dot trunk show at my home in a few weeks!
I can't wait to have a girls night in, drinking wine, having girl talk, eating too many calories and shopping! It's pretty much the perfect night for me.

If you would like to make an order or have any questions about the party message me on Facebook. Anyone not able to attend or want to make purchases before and up to three weeks after the party can do so online. Make sure to put "Brianna Eames" in the hostess section at check out so I get credit for the sale.

I'm so in love with the line of jewelry and accessories, I really want everything to add to my collection or to give as gifts. I put together a look book of sorts for the spring/summer collection to give ideas on how to wear the items and show some of my personal favorites.

First is a beach ready look. And at first most people would look at the catalog full of statement pieces and think they couldn't work anything at stella at dot in a casual way. However they have lots of delicate necklaces and simple studs that add a touch of simple class.
The scarf used as a sarong, a large tote bag with a s&d iPhone case, and a makeup bag with pool side essentials make up the rest of the look.

The statement necklaces from stella and dot are absolutely TO DIE FOR!
The necklace shown below can we worn with just the mint spike necklace alone, or attached as well, such a versatile piece! I really prefer a large necklace with a plain tee or tank. You can add a necklace extender to them for a longer look too.
This look also features stacked rings, and there are lots to choose from to mix and match and make your own set.
The hair product I have to mention is one of my new favorite discoveries. Oribe haircare products are amazing, shown here is the beach spray which creates texture, shine, and wave.

This cute and casual look showcases how to mix bright colors. The scarf I will be purchasing for myself for sure. The citron clutch and bracelet, pink shorts and turquoise drop earrings are tied together with the scarf for a fun but still simple outfit.

For hitting the town this summer, stella and dot has made it easy to put together a look thats easy to bring from day to night. Both earrings shown can we worn different ways. You simply unclip sections off the earrings to have a stud, a drop, or a chandelier. Perfect for bringing on vacation because they are 3 earrings in one!

They also have an adorable girls collection I just had to share. They have statement necklaces that are scaled down to size, matching necklace/bracelet sets, and earring packs. I also showed a necklace using charms from the regular collection proving how ageless these items can be. The little pouf can be used to hold school items or for her sleepovers.

Make sure to get on the site and see for yourself.
I'm looking forward to my party and can't wait to pick up some things for myself.
Hope everyone had a great weekend!
